Floral Workshops: May A New Florists Journey Inspire You

Happy May :)

It's been a while since I've posted anything and this year has looked a little different for me - I want to understand my fresh floral intimidation so I've vowed to sign up for a few workshops this year.

I always think I've had a knack for design - interior, my wedding, flowers at the grocery store, but I want to dig a little deeper and understand what it means to be a florist.

So far this year, I've attended quite a few floral events - Intrigue Design workshop, Flowering a Cake by Justine's Flowers, Black Girl Florist Conference, and TK's Freelance workshop.

I'm also inquiring about formal training - TBD.

What have I learned in this season of workshops?

  1. Big installtions aren't as intimidating as they seem

  2. It's all about the recipe which I have yet to master

  3. I've never been one to gatekeep (apparently this is a thing?)

  4. The foam vs foam free debate

  5. Social Media is all about the plan

  6. A fine pair of floral cutters will go a long way

  7. Just stay true to you

  8. Community over Competition

See you over on my Instagram or TikTok!
