Hi, I'm Laura!
I started my designer journey back in 2021 with faux florals after designing a cute birthday party for my sister-in-love! I know faux florals are the bane of some florist's existence lol, but whimsical and life-like floral designs with faux is possible!
Towards the end of 2022, I decided to confront my intimidation of fresh florals and attended an Intrigue Designs floral workshop in early 2023; I feel unstoppable now! The experience only propelled me deeper into nurturing my natural creative eye.
Let's go back to 2017 - this is when I actually started to realize I had a natural eye for creativity. I knew I was good at that particular project, but I also knew it still wasn't the one thing that was my thing. A few years later, I planned and designed my own intimate wedding and it was so beautiful!
After I'd realized how much fun I had designing the cutest, intimate birthday party, I knew I'd found my thing. I took a step back, and decided to put a plan into motion. Combined with my love for unique furniture and floral design, Yellow Velvet Co. was born.

Yes, I am available for travel! Within Texas, the state mileage reimbursement rate is $0.655 cents per mile. I also require 100% flight and hotel accommodations for events outside of Texas.

My minimum is 4 hours per event and I’m typically available Friday - Sunday. If you have a multi day production, let's chat!

I don't accept bookings within 5 days, but you can book as far out as 9 months.

Once I confirm my availability, I’ll send a simple contract for us both to sign. The remaining balance will be invoiced after the event and due within 2 days after the event. A 10% late fee will accrue per each day the invoice is late and it will be automatically added to the invoice.
